My wonderful, talented amazing sister in law Lexie’s birthday is today.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I admire her! She is the most creative, talented woman I know, and is also just so much fun that you can’t help but love her! She is in Michigan right now, but we will be seeing her soon! I hope that her day is full of sunshine and wonderfulness!
We love you!

Is that even possible?
Yep it is.
Thursday, we spend the day at home. Nothing planned, just playing catch up, and it was a day to remember. So many fun things happened today! I am going to miss these days as Tucker heads off to Kindergarten next year, and will be there everyday.
I TRUTHFULLY LOVE days where we just get to…
Cuddle in Blankets and stay all morning in our jammies
Discovering new things like seeds in a pepper,
Eat lunch in the sink,
and watch the bird who is making quite a show out the window,
Finish up projects, that children are just dying to do, (More on that Later…)
Smelling beautiful fragrance of Lilacs,
Keep building treehouses,
Enjoy moving newly refinished patio furniture
Eating dinner together outside
Swinging
I am grateful for days like these, and sweet boys who make these days so special. I do love being a mother, if only all days could be uneventful and wonderful like this…
Remember our Little Seedlings? Well it’s finally safe to plant these little guys outside!!
Truman is geared up and ready to go…

We’re going to try to make a Bean TeePee. We’ll see if it works!
And we’ll see if the other plants grow here too, ’cause honestly we’ve never planted in this bed before! But I really hope so, because there is nothing like produce fresh out of the garden.
I love mothers day. I love it is a day full of pampering from my husband and kids,
and wanted to post some sweet things so I can remember…
I got some yummy breakfast, then a beautiful corsage to wear to church, and a new dress from my mom. (Blurry picture but only only one I’ve got where you can kind of see the boys!!)
I also always love the presents made at school and church…Here is what Tucker thinks of me… ( I weigh 38 pounds. Sweet, I weigh less than he does…but he got the cheese part right!)
And a picture of my sweet boy, and one he drew of me blow drying my hair…
Love this picture of Truman, what a smile!
For dinner we headed to the Greene’s to be with the Hunsaker side of the family, we didn’t get to many pictures, as my memory card was full 🙁
My husband took care of the kiddos so I could relax after church, and I am grateful for a day to celebrate being a mom, the best job I’ve had yet!
Part of the reason we went to Logan last weekend was to celebebrate not only Madalyns Birthday but also Grandpa Phillips and JoAnnas, somehow we missed the celebrations, but still wanted to wish them happy, happy birthdays!
First, why do we love Grandpa? From the mouth of our babes:
Tucker–He’s so nice to us and, and sometimes he comes to visit me.
Truman–And I love him because he, he’s nice to me. He likes my bugs that I catch.
I am grateful for the good people he raised, the things he instilled in them, and the way he loves unconditionally, and always likes to know what is going on with my boys!
The other birthday wishes go to JoAnna, the birthday girl yesterday. Here are some pics she took on her computer last weekend.
What a fun aunt, can you see why the boys love her?
Happy Birthday Dad and Jo. We love you!
In case you haven’t noticed, I am a little behind on my Blogging. But I still wanted to make this post!
Being part of a family is an amazing thing–especially when there are so many amazing women. So many times in my life I have heard the quote, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This is so true, especially with my children, so this post is dedicated to these Women and all the other Women in our lives.

We love you and Happy Mothers Day, even it it is a little late, thank you for all being amazing women, helping me raise my children and teaching me about mothering!
Saturday was a fun day, with the upcoming holiday of Mothers Day coming, we had a little shopping to do for Mom, she came along gave her input,
We had a grand time together picking out presents.
When we returned, we headed down to the park, to play!
It is so fun to go to the park with a big dog. Everyone had a fun time playing with Dodger.
Owen and Dodger,
Grandpa and Dodger,
Toph pulled the dog, and dodger pulled Owen and Tucker
Ava
Tuck and Dallin, chillin’
Dallin and Dodger, good pals.
Wrestle with Grandpa,
Rolling down the hill
Had a snack,
Shared a snack
Basking in the sun
Grandma and Ava
On the way home,
we thought Dodger had had enough pulling. Not so, he pulled the stroller…
After so much fun, we were all ready for some AGGIE ICECREAM!

As Matt said in the car on the way home, Aggie Ice Cream is a wonderful family tradition. Agreed.
It was another wonderful Logan Weekend. (pweh! That was along post, believe it or not, I had even more pictures I wanted to put up!)
Lately Truman and Tucker love the word Delicious. And when they love something, they add –ishous on the end of the word. I love Logan, hence the Logan-ishous weekend.
Friday we headed up in the afternoon, and when we arrived, and every free second we had, the boys spent
on the trampoline… Jumping and making shots,
With Owen, Cat and
Michael
(Truman still loves this shirt from Cat, as soon as it’s clean, he’s wearing it again.)
We had dinner to celebrate Madalyns Birthday!
Take a look at her jello cake,
she was a little unsure at first,
Cousins tried to help feed her,
Pretty soon she dug in,
And so did all the other kiddos,
After a clean up bath, we opened presents,
Becca and Madalyn
While Patrick and I were getting ready for the Jazz Game,
The kids and Cat were watching a movie,
Then it was off to bed, looking forward to the adventures of the next day!
“How does time fly by so fast?”
But it’s because of the random things that are popping up in life right now, like–
–baking. Truman takes after his father who also loves to lick the batter off the mixing spoon…
–constantly catching buggies, and sharing/comparing with the neighbors,
–catching up with the spring things that have to be done, like purchasing/hauling 1 TON of wood pellets (for our stove), that had to be hauled under our patio, for next winter, (I only hauled half, then took a break, and Toph came home and finished it before I got a chance to finish it! What a good hubba!)
–buying wood, nails, and etc. for finishing building the treehouse, and building it! (this was all Toph on this one, I don’t know how to build. I assist where needed, but really he has done a majority of it!) 2 Railings up, we are getting closer!!!
–Taking care of a garden that is just beginning, ( I don’t do this one very well, thank goodness it is still raining, and these poor peas aren’t relying on me for their sole water needs!)
–And most importantly raising two little mischievous, handsome, and wonderful boys!
And when I look at those things, I think, man it’s not to bad being so busy!
**(It’s a good thing I didn’t list the other things that I don’t love so much like laundry, dishes, and vacuuming, because then I couldn’t be so optimistic about being so busy!)**
Last week on Tuesday the weather was beautiful enough to do this–
Play in the Sprinkler that Truman got for his birthday, and has just been asking when he could do it, so when it was finally warm enough to be able to do this (we reached over eighty) he was so excited to be able to finally play with it!
Waiting for the sunblock to dry,
And then play, play we did! Don’t you remember being like a child and just loving being in the water? I do…
Tuck–
Tru–
And yet how is it possible that the very next day it was dark, cloudy, stormy and yucky like this?
Any excuse to get the umbrella out…Truman was there!! Funny thing is, we have rain boots too, that are worn often, but never on the days that it rains!! Funny!!
And no matter the weather, there is always time to hunt for bugs, and put them in their new ‘bug playground’.
Whether it is slugs, or
Potato Bugs, (or Rolly-polly ollies as Truman calls them)
Everyday new bugs must be found to enjoy the excitement of the bug pool and playground! (Plus many don’t survive the night 🙁 )
Looking forward to summer days full of bugs, sprinklers and being outdoors!
