Elliot and his Action Cars.

Each one of these cars in the basket has a personal identity, and it’s crazy to me that he know all like 18 of them!

I found a few random cars in the couch cushions as I was cleaning one afternoon, and it was crazy to me that when I threw them into his bucket, later that afternoon, he took them out, as if I had done something offensive. “Mom these aren’t action cars!” They are all his friends, and they each have a job to do.

Tucker get’s his Bear and Pinewood Derby

After only 4 months of being in the Bear Den of scouts, Tucker EARNED his BEAR.

So proud of him, his dedication and hard work!
After the awards, the Pinewood Derby Began.

Tucker did everything all by himself for his car. He cut it, painted many coats on it, and put the wheels on.

We are so proud of him, and his spunky strong willed personality!

Here’s a couple of movies of the car in action: (The purple and black wedge car! 🙂 )

At the end of the night, all the cars were given an award, and Tucker got the most futuristic award! 🙂
Great night, looking forward to many, many more ahead of me, with these three boys! 🙂

SPRING BREAK: day two thru seven.

Spring Break. I had big plans, going and doing, and being together. I love spending time with my kids, and just couldn’t wait for this vacation to come!
But unfortunately, I got a very bad eye infection–that sent me to the E.R. (because my pupils wouldn’t dilate).

Where Christopher and I had a very expensive date, and I got quarantined to home. Therefore my children got quarantined as well! 🙁

So the remainder of the days were spent together, but not doing and going to the places we had planned! But we did get to be together.

So instead we did this:

Playing in the yard

The afternoon Toph had to drive me to the doctor (My vision was affected, and I couldn’t drive), he took the kids to a movie so I could rest. 4 kids by himself, at the movie theatre, and they all had a great time.

He also took the big boys to the pool on Saturday, something I had PROMISED the boys for weeks leading up to Spring Break that we would do!
Tucker was thrilled about Trying to Growing Triops

(Which 3 days into the process, Lorelei got ahold of and DRANK!!!! DISGUSTING! And Tucker was heart Broken. We’re planning on starting another colony soon….)
Thankfully, a tender mercy occurred on the last day of our vacation– the boys were starting to get cabin fever, so when a package arrived from my cousin Chad, who works for Hasbro Toy Company, it couldn’t have arrived at a more perfect time!
A box full of new toys!!! Let’s just say it was practically CHristmas Morning!

So not to many pictures, but we did spend lots of time together, reading, having wii competitions, lego building, card games, and etc.
Sometime life comes so fast and different than we expect…but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the ride! 🙂

SPRING BREAK: Day One FHE

Somehow in the holiday business of Easter, we didn’t get to dye our eggs. But thankfully our kids were okay dyeing them the day after Easter!

There is something different about eating a hard boiled egg you’ve dyed yourself, they’re just more tasty! 🙂

SPRING BREAK: Day one

Monday!

Free day at the Natural History Museum. (free day = crazy amounts of people, and chaos! We had pretty early tickets, but it was still nuts! And I re-discovered again Tucker’s not a big fan of big groups and lots and lots of people! So it was a quick visit thru the museum, but a fun/good one!)

Lunch with Dad at Mcdonalds.

And funny movie of Lorelei, she’s hilarious! She can drink out of a straw that’s upside down, but won’t even try it when it’s the right way. 🙂

A trip to Oquirre Mountain Temple, there is a peace around the temple grounds. And watching Tucker realize and recognize this peace, was awesome to me.

And then Lorelei and I were off to the ENT and Audiologist whilst Amy took the other 3 the park. (Complete side note: Everyone should have a sister like Amy, who loves and cares for your children, even when she has to deal with poop, and that’s gross, even when it is your kid!)

And the good news from our appointment? Lorelei passed her hearing test, with flying colors.
Bad news? She’s still not really speaking, and we are in the process of trying to get qualified for speech services. Wish us luck!

And with that we headed home for FHE 🙂

Easter with the Greene’s.

After a delicious dinner at the Great Hunsakers, with the extended Hunsaker Family,

(only one picture was taken, of Nora and Elliot on the stool in the kitchen!)

We were off to the Greene’s for a Easter Egg hunt!

It was fun how it was set up, each kid got to find six eggs of the same color. And then the rest of their eggs.

By this point, Lorelei and Elliot had both stained their white shirts from Ice Cream and Strawberries (They got put in the sink with bleach), therefore they did the hunt, not fully clothed 🙂 .

By this point, Lorelei was a pro, and was so fun to watch. I love this age!

And the big boys, were more than pros! They were practically speed hunters! 🙂

(yes Truman is totally picking his nose. But we’re recording it all here people. The good, the bad and the Ugly 🙂 )

And after the hunt and the eggs were looted,

the girls got their nails done with Amy’s new fancy fancy machine. 🙂

Even Lorelei got her cute little piggies painted.

Sure love you family!
