What a good looking couple

In addition to building a treehouse, on Saturday, Toph helped Jo and Chad make their wedding announcement. Aren’t they so cute together?
joanna-chad-wedding-announc.jpg
We are so glad that they were able to come down and spend part of the weekend with us, especially considering they are so busy making all the wedding arrangements!

As always, we love having guests, and hope you will come again! 🙂

Getting Closer!

almost.jpg
Toph spent a majority of the day working on the treehouse (hasn’t my hubby done a great job?), As you can see, we are so close to completion! All he has left is: the side next to the slide, anchoring the slide and the ladder/steps. (and then I think I get to do the staining!) I can’t believe it’s almost done. It’s been a year in the making, and the boys love it already, and I am sure that so many memories will be made here! Can’t wait to watch the boys grow up playing here!

An uneventful day full of eventful things!

Is that even possible?

Yep it is.

Thursday, we spend the day at home. Nothing planned, just playing catch up, and it was a day to remember. So many fun things happened today! I am going to miss these days as Tucker heads off to Kindergarten next year, and will be there everyday.

I TRUTHFULLY LOVE days where we just get to…
Cuddle in Blankets and stay all morning in our jammies

Discovering new things like seeds in a pepper,

Eat lunch in the sink,

and watch the bird who is making quite a show out the window,

Finish up projects, that children are just dying to do, (More on that Later…)

I am grateful for days like these, and sweet boys who make these days so special. I do love being a mother, if only all days could be uneventful and wonderful like this…

We’re going to try to make a Bean TeePee. We’ll see if it works!

And we’ll see if the other plants grow here too, ’cause honestly we’ve never planted in this bed before! But I really hope so, because there is nothing like produce fresh out of the garden.

My Mo-day….

I love mothers day. I love it is a day full of pampering from my husband and kids,
kisses.jpg
and wanted to post some sweet things so I can remember…
I got some yummy breakfast, then a beautiful corsage to wear to church, and a new dress from my mom. (Blurry picture but only only one I’ve got where you can kind of see the boys!!)
blurry.jpg
I also always love the presents made at school and church…Here is what Tucker thinks of me… ( I weigh 38 pounds. Sweet, I weigh less than he does…but he got the cheese part right!)
tuckerinfo.jpg
And a picture of my sweet boy, and one he drew of me blow drying my hair…

Love this picture of Truman, what a smile!

For dinner we headed to the Greene’s to be with the Hunsaker side of the family, we didn’t get to many pictures, as my memory card was full 🙁

My husband took care of the kiddos so I could relax after church, and I am grateful for a day to celebrate being a mom, the best job I’ve had yet!

Still More Better Late Than Never Posts :)

Part of the reason we went to Logan last weekend was to celebebrate not only Madalyns Birthday but also Grandpa Phillips and JoAnnas, somehow we missed the celebrations, but still wanted to wish them happy, happy birthdays!
First, why do we love Grandpa? From the mouth of our babes:
Tucker–He’s so nice to us and, and sometimes he comes to visit me.
grandpa2.jpg
Truman–And I love him because he, he’s nice to me. He likes my bugs that I catch.

I am grateful for the good people he raised, the things he instilled in them, and the way he loves unconditionally, and always likes to know what is going on with my boys!

The other birthday wishes go to JoAnna, the birthday girl yesterday. Here are some pics she took on her computer last weekend.

Logan-ishous Weekend.

Lately Truman and Tucker love the word Delicious. And when they love something, they add –ishous on the end of the word. I love Logan, hence the Logan-ishous weekend.
Friday we headed up in the afternoon, and when we arrived, and every free second we had, the boys spent

on the trampoline… Jumping and making shots,

Kids do the darndest things…

I have a few things that remind me of my children, and are very special to me. They are on top of our piano, and a couple of times Tucker has tried to move them. In an effort to help him understand how special these little trinkets are to me, I explained how each of them of them was given to me by someone whom I love, and that they reminds me of my children.
This one Toph bought for me for our anniversary right after Tucker was born, and reminds me of Tuck–
tucker.jpg
This one Amy bought for me for my birthday last year, and reminds me of my Trubee–
truman.jpg
So the past few weeks, I have been noticing that this little dog kept ending up upstairs on the piano, next to Tuckers statue.
dog1.jpg
I never see the children playing with him, so I have carried it back down the play animal bin, quite a few times, but didn’t think to much about it, until I went to pick it up again the end of last week.
Tucker said, Mom, I keep that dog there, next to mine, so that it will remind me, that we need to get a dog. Cause that’s where we put our important things right?
Right-o. I wonder how long that dog collection is going to keep him satiated? I am going to keep that little dog there next to the statue, so I can remember my sweet boy, and his dedication to things that he wants, and wants to remember.

Secret Camera

So I wish I had a secret video camera to record all of the funny things my kids say and do all day long, because sometimes by the time I get the video camera out, they are not saying or doing it anymore… But the other day I got lucky, and got some ‘secret footage’ (Tru didn’t know I was filming either time until the end of the clips). Truman was singing a little ditty with the word “Everytime”, we had just finished washing dishes, and I overheard him singing in the other room…I just love that sweet voice, and wish I could imprint that song and face forever in my mind.
