New Years Day!

Means Yummy New Years Dinner with the Phillips Family! Up to Logan we went, for Lorelei’s first ‘road trip’, and my first opportunity to meet sweet Emi,

(isn’t she beautiful!)
Whilst waiting for dinner, Dallin Paul shared his ‘bay-blades’ with his nieces and nephews (And later his sister JoAnna and Becca 🙂 )

The dinner was delicious, (as always!)–apparently I was too busy eating to take pictures…We celebrated more Tucker birthday!

And the next day we got to celebrate with the Evelyns as they blessed Emily-

And we got to see all 4 babies together (and missed Wesley)

And Aunt Cat put Pigtails in Lorelei for the first time.

A wonderful weekend

Celebrating Tucker’s Birthday~

Tradition of Krispy Kreme’s continues…

(Love Elliot trying to snitch Truman’s crumbs…)

Opening Presents,

He really wanted a robe for christmas, with his matching slippers from Santa, he’s ready to be an old man 🙂

That afternoon we had a friend party, at Nicklecity (A great choice for us as parents, so much easier! Although Tucker was not able to invite all his friends, and had a horribly hard time narrowing down which friends to invite…)

Played Games

Earned Tickets

Ate Pizza/Pop/Cake

Opened Presents

Played Lasertag

and choose prizes.

Such an easy party for us as parents, and the kids had so much fun, I think we could have stayed for another hour!
(but we needed to get back home to Lorelei and Elliot and my mother who was watching them!)

We came home and relaxed for a few minutes watching a movie (how many kids can fit in my lap??)

Amy stopped by for a few minutes, and then we celebrated the evening with some shrimp (which we discovered this Christmas that our boys LOVE, and can’t get enough of!),

And sparkling apple cider.

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday Tuck!

Good Bye old, Hello new!

With the new year, I like to take some time to re-evalutate things.

For me, it is a great time to reflect, renew, and recommit. Right now I am ready and excited for the new year.

The past few weeks I have thought alot about this new year, and the process of renewal. With a new baby, and an eight year old, I have had some powerful thoughts and reminders about this process of being fresh, clean and pure.

The past few years (like many bloggers) I have choose a word to remind myself of my goals for the year. This year I have chosen the word SIMPLE.

This word will hopefully be a reminder of a few things.
-It is in the simple things of life that I find the real joy. Be AWARE and LOOKING for these things, be PRESENT in daily life as this is where the simple things are.

-The best use of time is in those things I easily take for granted: time with my husband, children, and family.

-Keep things around my house simple..the less that is in my home, the less that I have to take care of. The more I can enjoy the simple things.

-Simplification of my schedule. Not over scheduling myself or my family. And sticking to our weekly and daily routines.

-Doing things simply and well can in many ways be better than big and elaborate.

-by small and simple things great things come to pass. The simple things like daily scripture study, temple attendance, and prayer are the best uses of my time.

And one of the first places I started my new ‘simplification’ was on my blog.
Goodbye old header:

And hello new:

And here’s to a simpler new year.
