A busy saturday…

Every once in awhile, we have a day that is so busy and full of fun things. A few Saturdays ago, we had just one of these days!

We had Lowe’s Build and Grow Workshop

Building Kalidescopes.

We then sped to our neighboring community for an easter egg hunt (with our neighbors)

(we ran up and then literally 15 seconds later the horn blew to go collect the eggs!)

On the way back to the car, Tucker and Truman both realized and said, I got more candy for returning my eggs, then for finding the eggs! 🙂 Cute boys.

Elliot also discovered that you can suck chocolate out of the wrapper. And did just that with a few pieces of candy he got from the hunt!

Home for a quick lunch, then off to a birthday party of our good friends son (the party was over an hour away with traffic) so I let the kids watch a movie, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Here they are watching the barn raising dance scene.

We left early as Truman and I had a date to go see, ‘How to slay a dragon’, and we really loved the movie!

(and as early noted, have since been acting out parts of the movie. Often times Elliot is cast as the role of the dragon, toothless, by the way.)
We came home, made/ate dinner, and then it was time for bed!
A fun day full of fun things. It’s days like these full of playing, you have to LOVE being a mom.

The Art Festival Fundraiser

Tuckers school has an awesome fundraiser. It’s actually really quite a funny event. They charge you admission to an ‘art’s festival’, so you can come buy your kids art. 🙂

Here is Tuck’s art, called ‘California King’ a picture of him surfing.

It is honestly a lot of fun. Each classroom has an art project, and you can kind of just wander the school, doing different projects.

There was face painting

Truman just got his hands painted, he’s afraid of getting paint on his face after a bad experience where it wouldn’t come off!

You could eat dinner there, hot dogs, nachos, and drinks.

Fabric Art

Painting Plaster of Paris

A soda pop walk (like a cake walk but for decorated soda pop containers)

And Much, Much More.

Grams and Gramps met up with us afterword for some icecream.

yummy.

And then read the kids some stories.

Gramps was being quite silly, and was trying to mix up the words to one of Tucker’s favorite books. Tucker thought it was pretty funny. (Can’t you tell from the look on his face?)

Thanks for coming down grams and gramps! I can honestly say, I am looking forward to it again next year!

Just so you recognize us…

Let me give you a few updates on how we’re looking.
Tucker

has now lost 2 teeth He’s enjoying sucking through a straw in the hole left by the void of his bottom teeth.

Toph

got new glasses. Similar to his old one, but now with darker rims. He couldn’t look handsomer in my book.

Elliot

has become OBSESSED with slippers, especially Trumans Spiderman ones (that are 7 sizes too big) and Elliot insists on wearing them whenever he sees them. Even if they already are on Truman’s feet.

Truman

Since seeing ‘How to slay a dragon’ Truman has found all gear that could be viking gear, and dresses up, he loves being a viking, and loves his imaginary dragons.

So although we all may look a little different, rest assured we are still all the same people you know and love 🙂
