Holidays past.

Sorry, it’s been along time since I’ve posted.
I’ve got great things to report!
Truman has recovered from his surgery. To be completely honest, it was a LONG couple of weeks, keeping him isolated from his normal life, friends, store, and everything outside the four walls of our home!. There is only so much you can do to entertain a busy four year old, but thankfully, his normal life has returned, and we all seem to be settling back into our normal routine (Or as normal of a routine that we can have with the crazy holidays!)

So, because it has been so long, I have a few things I really wanted to get up on my blog, before it was REALLY too late. (notice the word REALLY is all in caps..)

You see, I know we’re in the Christmas season, but I must visit a ‘ghost of holiday past’…
HALLOWEEN.

This year, (As with most of the last few years) one costume is just not enough when you’ve got numerous parties to attend.
Here are a few shots of Costumes…

Tucker wanted to be Wall-E.

But a wonderful neighbor offered to share her wonderful costumes with my boys, and Tucker took her up on the offer…enter KING KONG!

Trumans’ request this year? Someone who saves the day, and has cool weapons…why a Ninja Turtle of course!

But then after seeing this ADORABLE chicken costume (again from another neighbor), and his LOVE for chickens, this costume was worn more frequently than the turtle.

Elliot had only one costume, and honestly, there is not too many things that are cuter than a baby lion, wouldn’t you agree?

One of the perks of being one of the room moms at Tucks school? Being able to attend/help with the Halloween Party!
First we watched the parade…

Followed by the party, with lots of different stations. (Truman rotated around the stations with Tucker, it was so fun to watch!)
Don’t eat Trick or Treat Pete.

Pin the heart on the skeleton, Ghost Trees.

Halloween Bingo, and another put the ring around the ghost station. Plus there was really cool witch telling stories! 🙂

Halloween would not be complete without the annual Greene Pumpkin Carving.

This year Grams even got a little spooky, and made us stuffed rats for dinner.

Here are the boys putting the eyes, nose, whisker and tails on their meatloaf, I mean rats.

Of course, we had some fun and stopped by the Great Grand Parents, who we always love seeing.

(Somehow we didn’t get a picture with the Great Hunsakers? oops.)

And here’s a shot of the big night.

The pumpkins looked awesome all aglow.

We had a great holiday.

I love the expression on Truman’s face in the Ninja Turtle picture — that is EXACTLY the way their faces look! So funny!
