A birthday wish to our Great Aunt Mable…

The latest installment of Tucker-isms.

Yesterday Tucker said/did a couple of funny things.
He woke up yesterday morning and was a little bit upset, I could hear him talking/yelling from his bed, and so I went to see what was the matter. When I got there he just kept repeating, “My arm, it’s sizzling, it’s sizzling mom!”
Finally I figured out that his arm was asleep. Sizzling?
Also, Yesterday Tucker decided to take up a new collection. We were cleaning out the markers box, the ones that were all dried up and not working we were finally throwing away, when Tucker got a new idea, “Can I have the lids mom?”
Me: “uh….sure Tuck.”
Tucker: “Wow mom, I am bursting at the seams with happiness”

Whatever happened to the days of stamps and bugs and rock collections?

Boo!

Yep, I was pretty scared when I saw it too.

Tru: “I’m the scary guy mom.”
Me: You betcha.
(and yes, that is our front door wreath around Trus’ neck. He’s got style.)
I love putting up halloween decorations.

Weekend At Grandma and Grandpa Phillips

I had a busy Relief Society Weekend Planned, and so instead of hanging out and being bored at home, the boys decided to go up to Logan, to be with Grandma and Grandpa Phillips, and a have a real good time.
Here are the pictures that were taken at Patricks Special Olympics Meet:

I don’t blame Toph and the boys for wanting to be in Logan this weekend, there is nothing better than being with people who love you so much…

Do you remember doing this?

I cannot even tell you how many times I would call up my friends, and we would coordinate outfits.
Last Thursday this was not on purpose…but fun none the less…

“Good-Night Cub Scouts”

scouts2.jpg
In some ways I have been not looking forward to posting this, because it makes it real. .. and it makes me sad to say goodbye to my good friends–my cubscouts.
Over a month ago, I got a new calling, I am no longer a cubmaster with the Wolf and Bear Scouts in our ward. I am going to miss them (and I already am), as the young boys have become my friends.
There are so many reasons why I am going to miss them:
Hearing their laughter in our home.
Getting to know them, and their interests.
Keeping up with the latest vernacular of kids these days
Having my children seeing good boys, having them get to know them, and therefore having good examples to lead them.
and last but not least, the cub scout games that we got to play weekly! 🙂 Just kidding.
Please don’t get me wrong, I am excited to serve in the Relief Society, I am just going to miss them!
So watch out ladies, I now know SOOOO many stupid boy scout skits, how to tie so many knots, about bugs, trains, and even how to make a Waterscope, so we’re going to have some GREAT Times at our new Enrichment Meetings…..
