There is a popular phrase that I often see around. It says, “All because 2 people Fell in Love” For us, this last weekend, it was the love of my great grandparents we were celebrating:
My Grandparents hosted the Hunsaker Family Reunion at the Cabin this Last Weekend. Not to many events planned, but just a day to get together to enjoy each others company, take a extended family picture, and look over some family keepsakes. I got this cute apron made by Great Grandma Hunsaker
Of course, my little ones were not too interested in any of those things, so here is what I did with them while these events were taking place:
Floating Boats (Scrap wood from the addition) in the front pond–
On the raft with Dad:
I never get tired of this shot ( I have taken this picture SO many times):
Carssen and Hailey Out in the Canoe:
Fishing with Uncle Ryan(thanks to him and his pole and his powerbait, everyone was able to catch a fish):
Coleman caught a fish:
Ikey and his fish:
Me and Tuck fishin:
Toph fishin:
Trus fishey:
Tucker wanted to take a pic:
Ike and Tru pal-in’ around:
Playing in the stream:
Any trip to the cabin is not complete without a dunk in the hot tub:
(I think 2 more people got in after this picture was taken!)
What fun it was to just be together again and hang out! I sad summer is coming to an end, this is truely a perfect summer day for me.
Month: August 2007
One of the reasons I love my husband, is that he is so Tech Savvy. He keeps me updated, on what is the up and up. Last night, we were editing some pictures, and Toph said, I’ve wanted to check out and see what pictures they have of Albania on Flickr.
Well it started there, and then we went to pictures of Italy, and we came across this beautiful picture. It is of Riomaggoire, in Cinque Terre, Italy. It was one of our favorite places we stayed and I REALLY hope we can go back there again someday, I often think about the beautiful colors that were there, and how they nestled their homes right into the mountains. What a beautiful place.
Then we started to look at our other favorite Italian thing, Gelato, and came across this pic. Yum, just looking at it makes my mouth water. It is a tasty to the eye, as it is to the mouth.
The world is full of many beautiful things.
Bob Barker is famous for this phrase, but we are just as enthusiastic to invite others to “come on down to visit us”.
The boys adore having visitors at our house, and we were pleasantly surprised when Aunt Cathrine and Uncle Dallin Paul came down for a visit Wednesday afternoon.
(After seeing these pictures, I remember why I haven’t tried to do a family photoshoot with my boys… 🙂 )
We didn’t do to many things while they were here, but there was a memorable trip to Wal-Mart, that I will never forget.
You always wonder what your children are going to grow up to be, or what they are going to decide to do with their lives, on Sunday Truman’s Appearance led us to think he might pursue business or banking…
Of course, if Tru is having his pic taken, Tuck wants in on the action….
Tuckers top choices of professions right now are: Dump Truck Driver, Teacher (he wants to share a classroom with Topher), “Video giver outer” (I think that means someone at a movie store, or maybe someone who drives planes.
Only time will tell if any of these things will be true.
You wouldn’t think that there could be ANYTHING that could make a trip to the beach better….But take a look at this.
I heard about this story on the Radio, and continued to think about it all day long.
How Random is this? But Yet Tucker would have loved it…
He loves big Lego things
Truman has a cold or Allergies I am not sure. He was sneezing all morning, and I was just walking around saying “Bless You, Bless You”… Poor Thing.
All of the sudden, Tucker came running into the room obviously upset. He was screaming, “Mom, look at my back, Look at it! He Blessed Youed on Me”
I was laughing to hard to be very sympathetic.
Funny Boy.
This weekend, a beloved part of our family, Brian, Lexie, Sophie, and Nora, are beginning a new adventure as they make there way to Michigan.
There is a saying, “It is much easier to leave than be left…” This is the truth about our families feelings this week, as we had to say goodbye.
But it was not until the kids had a good swim together, and hopped on their “Rocket”
We are so excited for their new adventure and wish them well! Tucker has been praying alot for Sophie, especially that she won’t get in trouble. 🙂
We love you guys, and will miss having you so close!
Gotta Love those Little People
One of the toys that I love the mostest of my children is “Little People”. Thursday I was folding Laundry on the couch (I have fallen dreadfully behind, and now am just barely catching up…) and was casually listening to Truman as he was playing Little People on the other side of the room, when I heard him say something about food. I looked over to see this:
and this:
Then I heard him say, “Please share, everyone needs food”
How cute is that!? What a tender heart, how fun to see it developing, and that it is present during play.
Oh how I love this two year old!
