The day after Tru’s Birthday celebrations, was Sunday and St. Patricks Day and Lily’s blessing day.

A good, full, busy day! 🙂
Off to Logan we went, where the remainder of the day was spent PLAYING with cousins and family!
Of course, Truman wanted to play Soccer:
Grandma and the Evelyn cousins had made an awesome pokemon/Pikachu cake for Tru:

And then off to Walmart Tru and cousin Owen went to do a little birthday shopping, and a little silly-ness:
Happiest Birthday Truman Ross! So glad you are 8, and grateful for these last 8 years in our lives. We LOVE YOU!
So exciting to celebrate Truman’s Birthday! Eight Years old!
We had breakfast on the porch, birthday doughnuts-

A fun morning, and a great way to celebrate our extraordinary Truman!
Is seeing awesome quotes, when you need to see them, like this awesome quote:
Exactly what I needed to hear in one of the busiest times of my life! 🙂
In the midst of a busy week (battle of the books, Truman’s birthday and party, getting Tru ready for scouts, doctor’s appointments, etc.) I was feeling tired, and overwhelmed, and then I had a little tender mercy…
Watching Lorelei love, and push around her dolls and take such care of them, I was so grateful for the reminder, of how much joy can be found thru nurturing the little ones in our lives.
Tucker participated for another year, of battle of the books, and I got to help out too! It’s been an event that’s a year in the making. A year of reading books, tracking students’ progress, helping with pizza luncheons, and etc. It’s been an honor to help these kiddos, and I’m so proud of Tucker, and how hard he worked at preparing for the battle!
The students are broken up into teams, based upon how many books they have read, so that the teams will be even. Then after the teams are chosen, they meet together to choose out team names, and Captains. (Tucker’s team was the Destroyers), Then during the month of March the Battles Begin!
The battles take a week to complete, and it’s just like March Madness for basketball. They battle, the points are totaled and then they are put in brackets to compete against each other.
And here is the shots of the videos of them going up against his good friend Andrea’s Team, for the spot in the school assembly:
Here’s Tuckers score sheet after the battles had occurred.
By the end of the week, (me putting in over 25 hours at the school), we were pretty tired! 🙂
The final Bracket, Tucker’s team the Destroyers, going to the final match, in front of the school assembly:
He was also chosen to participate on the All-Star Team:
And his name on the plaque from last years all star team:
Toph got the day off work, and Elliot wore his cape like his brother…
So proud of Tucker and his efforts this year!!!! We are so blessed to have him as part of our family, he is a champ! We love you buddy!
Truman was THRILLED to be invited to attend scouts a few days before his birthday.
And I think he looks down right handsome in his scout uniform!
Love this boy, and can’t believe how quickly he is growing up!
