Shaving Cream and Baking Soda, and a little bit of food coloring makes:
A huge mess, and lots of fun. 🙂
Summer is so fun, because we get to be together and have fun adventures.
This day, we went with friends and later met up with Amy at a local jumping place.
There was so much to do! I needed to stay by the littles in the play area, so I couldn’t get the greatest shots of the big kids, but we did have alot of fun.
One thing you couldn’t see was the giant Trapeze where the kids swung and jumped for quite along time! Truman and Tucker especially loved that. Unfortunately, my phone memory was full! 🙁
After this fun playing, Amy and I met up with some other friends at a park by our house, then back to our house for some crafting, and then later that evening we went to the Zoo for what they call the “sunset Safari’.
We ate dinner saw all the animals, and then the kiddos all fell asleep in the car on the way home. That is one sign of a fun day right? 🙂
So, Tucker and Truman went swimming with our neighbor, that left just the littles at home with Toph and I.
We cleaned out the car, where Elliot found some long lost ‘treasures’
Scrubbed the kitchen, and Lorelei loved wiping along side of me
Then we went off to the DI where we found more treasure, including a new hammock
It’s the little things in life that keep us all happy 🙂
One of the first things the kiddos wanted to do this summer was have our family dinner over the fire and sleep in the treehouse.
We had a fun time singing songs around the campfire:
Cooking and eating our hotdogs and s’mores:
When I went to go check on them at 10 pm, Tucker and Scout were cuddling and reading, Truman was out. They both were pretty happy and excited to be out side!
Love this little family of ours!
The first week of summer started off with a bang, and some good old fashioned fun with cousins. They got to be with us for a few days, here a picture of a few of our adventures:
Playing hard, usually means bandaids are involved right?
Hours spent building this multi level intense train track and station:
Pool splashing:
Splash and roll:
Water Relay Race:
Target Shooting:
Spontaneous Water Fight:
Motor Boat Splash:
Making water Shadows:
Shopping at the store (which, with 6 kiddos was an event! I couldn’t believe the looks I was getting from people, it’s only 6 kids people!)
Lots and Lots of Time playing in the tree house:
Loved seeing quiet time/homework time, so cute!
So blessed to be close enough to family to spend time together!
So, with no kids at home, (and me thinking of what an amazing husband and in-laws I have!) I spent the next to days with my siblings and family.
First the morning with Robert Redford (No he’s not family) who spoke at my Eric’s (my brothers) commencement ceremony.
We had a good time just hanging out in the stadium seats:
It’s official Eric’s a full fledged smarty!
Eric and the Original Greene’s:
Afterwords, we went to dinner at In and Out Burger (my phone and camera were dead at this point 🙁 but trust me the food was delicious! 🙂
Then my Amy (my sister) and I celebrated her Birthday with Taylor Swift (She’s not family either 🙂 ) Thank heavens Amy had her phone camera!
Thank you Amy for letting me come with you, and get my Taylor Swift on! Love you!
What a fun weekend it was. How grateful I am to be apart of our amazing families.
The first weekend of the summer, and we had two very important things happening.
Baby Jonathan’s Blessing in St. George and Erics Graduation in SLC. There was no way we could be in both places at one time, so we split up. Toph took the kiddos to St. George to be with cousins, and I stayed in SLC for the graduation.
Below are the pics of Toph, the kiddos and the Phillps Clans’ adventures together in St. George.
Cute kiddos driving down together:
Elliot all Suave after church:
Lorelei (with her new cowgirl boots from cousin Emy! and what goes better with a swimsuit than cowgirl boots!)
And after a busy, busy day, a video of Lorelei waiting in line to get Icecream…or more accurately, falling asleep! 🙂
And a hike to the Slot Canyons
And a little walk around the neighborhood where Cat got an awesome Condo:
On the way home, Cat’s car broke down, so Toph got to drive with Patrick and Grandma for a bit! 🙂
Hurrah for baby Jonathan!
