The morning after the dance festival, we headed up to Salt Lake City.
We had lunch with dad at his cafeteria:
I love that last picture, Tru took it of himself. Cracks me up.
Then walked around the temple:
I love pictures like this, with my kids lined up, and holding hands walking together. It makes my little heart leap in love when I see them.
To the Lion/Beehive House for a tour:
These sweet sister missionaries were so kind and patient, and smiled patiently at my kids awesome questions.
Then to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building where we got to go watch the Joseph Smith Movie:
The older two made it thru the whole movie, the younger two and I snuck out about 45 minutes into it, they were too tired and restless, and noisy. 🙂
Then as it was the beginning of memorial day weekend, we stopped in SLC and visited and decorated graves, including Grandpa Greene’s grave. It was such a special day for me. It was the first memorial day my kids had a love one whom they knew personally whose grave we got to visit. I enjoyed cleaning Grandpa and Grandma Greene’s grave with them, as we cleaned, we talked about our favorite memories. And of course my kids brought up me jumping on the couch, and being told not to jump on the davenport. 🙂
A good way to end the day, a heart full of gratitude for the beautiful life I have.
