Truman’s Field Day

I got to help again at Truman’s field day, at the sponge fight/throwing spot again. (Not the funnest spot because it was FREEZING cold!)

IMG_7257
Of course I had to the two littles with me, and Truman was darling walking around helping them at each of the stations. (they were having fun, I promise, I don’t know why they look so grouchy in this picture!)
Even though he didn’t have to! IMG_7265
That might have been my favorite part of the day, except, Truman’s face got painted awesomely. I love that he chose a monocle and a mustache.
IMG_7262
BUt the day got even better ’cause Toph was working in Utah County that day, and was able to stop by for lunch with us.

Love having the chance to participate and help him and his class, and love that I got to do with so many of the people I love.

Elliot’s Sponge’s

I had over 200 sponges for Truman’s field day activity, I brought them home, and washed them all, and while I put them on the sidewalk to dry, Elliot found them again, and played and played and played with them.

I thought these videos were pretty cute.

Afternoon BY dad…

The morning after the dance festival, we headed up to Salt Lake City.

We had lunch with dad at his cafeteria:

I love pictures like this, with my kids lined up, and holding hands walking together. It makes my little heart leap in love when I see them.

To the Lion/Beehive House for a tour:

These sweet sister missionaries were so kind and patient, and smiled patiently at my kids awesome questions.

Then to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building where we got to go watch the Joseph Smith Movie:

The older two made it thru the whole movie, the younger two and I snuck out about 45 minutes into it, they were too tired and restless, and noisy. 🙂

Then as it was the beginning of memorial day weekend, we stopped in SLC and visited and decorated graves, including Grandpa Greene’s grave. It was such a special day for me. It was the first memorial day my kids had a love one whom they knew personally whose grave we got to visit. I enjoyed cleaning Grandpa and Grandma Greene’s grave with them, as we cleaned, we talked about our favorite memories. And of course my kids brought up me jumping on the couch, and being told not to jump on the davenport. 🙂

Dance Festival 2013!

The neighborhood kiddos on their way to school that morning:
IMG_7233

Tucker was from the 80’s and danced to Juke Box Heroes!
(He was in the middle of the very back row, so unfortunately, there was no way to get good video! Most of my video is him facing the wrong way!)
I love this picture:

IMG_3424

Truman danced to Elvis Presley, ain’t nothing but a hound dog. And just FYI, he has since slicked his hair back every single day. He likes the way it feels. 🙂 And unfortunately, my video just quit in the middle, and I didn’t realize it 🙁 At least I got some of it!
