Musical Beds.

Some nights these kids just make me laugh.

Like this night, Lorelei hopped into Elliots bed, Elliot ended up in Trumans, adn Truman slept in Lorelei’s.
Funny, Funny Kiddos!

The fisherprice ‘little people’ ruling the world.

or at least the living room.

For awhile all four kids played together with them, but in the end, it was just the two littles who found delight this day playing with our collection. 🙂
I loved the way they set it up in a circle. Just a like a little community.

Card Counter

We’ve been playing a game from my childhood lately, Called Rainbow Bright.

Lorelei has learned which ones are the good ones and which ones’ aren’t. Here she is dividing the cards up:

Silly, silly girl.

Recorder STAR

Tucker has spent a good portion of fourth grade working on his recorder. He did an awesome job at learning these songs, and I recorded him by himself one day! 🙂

Crazy Days of Motherhood.

I say it over and over and over again–It takes a village to raise a child, and I’m grateful for my neighbors and friends who help me do that. And often this comes in the form of babysitting swapping with my mommy friends. One day this month, I had 3 different families and 9 children other than mine at our house through out the day for hours at a time. It was a terrific day, and made me grateful for those good friends around me, who help me, and felt grateful I could help them.

Here is one picture while I was feeding a few kiddos. the counter and table were full the next round, (we did it in shifts).

Grateful to have friends (and family too!) who I can leave my most beloved treasures with! 🙂

Track Day for the Second Grade-

Truman was so excited to participate in Track Day! (And you’ll notice that the currently second grade trend with boys is blue shirts and blue shorts, Truman likes to tuck his in). He choose to compete in the longest three races. (They each got to do three races). He did really well, but by the time the last race came, he was pretty tired after running so much distance right in a row! (And you’ll notice he lost one of his shoes!) But he did fantastic, and I was super proud of him!

I love to watch Truman, he works hard at everything he does. He is true, honest and a good sport. Love you buddy.

Journals.

Sometimes we have lessons that the kids love at FHE, sometimes we don’t. Our neighbor recently spoke in church and said that he and his wife used to call it Family Fight Evening when they had young children. I laughed out loud when he said that. WE obviously can relate. 🙂

Lorelei and I taught a lesson a few weeks ago about the importance of Journals and then made some. (Thanks to an Idea from Aunt Amy), and it turns out that it was one that my boys have talked about multiple times since. I love when that happens.

Here they all are with their journals. They each were very proud of their work.

Nothing says good morning more this:

I just imagine her saying “I’m so happy to see you, I’m just happy to be watching the neighbors and their pets from the highest point I can get to. On top of your picnic table.”
Such a funny, funny dog.
