When she feel the need to be independent, but still hasn’t developed all her reasoning skills yet. :)_

Pouring a GINOURMOUS bowl of milk to drink….and seeing no problem whatsoever with it.

Wanting to make herself oatmeal for lunch (after I had already made mac n cheese, that apparently she didn’t want), and dumping the entire container, on the floor.

Getting a drink, then pulling the faucet out, leaving it on the counter, with the water still running and flooding the kitchen.

Somedays I just want to follow her around all day long, and NEVER let her out of my sight, because all of those things literally happened QUICKLY. It’s not like she wanders the house unattended all day long!!!

After my debacle last week, I’ve decided I need to have a permanent place to keep my paint colors. I’m getting old and my memory is not as good as it used to be. Something that I used to be easily able to recall, is obviously not so easy any more! 🙂

So excuse my selfish post for my memory and sanity sake. 🙂

I love the age of preschool. I love to see how the kiddos process the world, and I love this from Elliot:

Every day, we do Lorelei’s hair with bows, and she gets to choose them out. He has often asked me why he doesn’t have boy bows. 🙂

This week, we had a few days that made me feel like we were getting close to spring. The children felt it too, and spent more time in the backyard. So, I spent alot of time in the kitchen, keeping and eye on them, and finding tasks there. When I wasn’t helping them, it felt good to get a project done! I got our ‘command station’ de-junked and reorganized. This has to be done every few months, but always feels so good when it’s done!

I love the feeling of completing a project from start to finish.

Our current ward has a tradition of Missionary Month. This year, I participated as a YW leader, assisting activities, but not as much as in previous years, but we were still grateful for the opportunity we had to host a dinner for our ‘missionaries’ in training.

Here is Lorelei getting the muffin tin liners in for the cupcakes, she is always there wanting to help with everything.

I love the opportunity we have to have the youth in our home. This year we had two Elders who shared a good lesson about understanding and taking time to understand the scriptures. Our boys remember who ‘our missionaries’ are, they watch for them at church, passing the sacrament, and it swells my heart with gratitude that they can look for examples around them, and ‘watch’ these older youth, who are making good choices.

What a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives.

Finally find the time to repaint the office, and then doing it in the wrong color. Seriously Emily?!

It may have taken me over a week with a torn up office to complete this project, with all of my mistakes with the paint….Oh well, I guess it was my subconscious telling me that I should be spending more time with my paint brush. 🙂

The last few weeks, Scout has had the opportunity to visit the elementary school, TWICE (once for Tuck and once for Tru). She loved every second of the attention, and all the excitement. And was very well behaved once we got to the classroom.

To get her energy out before we got to the school, we walked the long way there.

It has been a long winter and the little kids loved being able to get out and run on a beautiful day.

Love this little family.

Loves to sing princess songs, Play princess dolls, Read princess books, talk about princess, color princess pictures.

And I might just be loving every second of it. 🙂
