It’s been a rough winter for Elliot. While ‘helping’ make some noodles for dinner, Elliot slipped and placed his hands on the hot stop top burner. I have never seen him cry so hard, or so much.
Thankfully we already had a babysitter, as we had plans to go to the Ward Christmas Dinner. We left the other kids with our neighbor, and headed to the instacare.
They got some pain cream on them, and wrapped them up good.
He felt much better knowing he’d get a toy at the end.
For over two weeks his blister continued to grow and swell across his entire hand. I think it was close to 2 inches off his hand, near the end.
Amy, Wayne and the Girls, brought over these glasses for him to use, since he couldn’t really use his hands:
(He loved them 🙂 )
Two weeks of twice daily wrapping and creaming, and gentleness, the blister popped. And thankfully he had some new skin starting to repair/regrow underneath.
This experience made me so grateful for the miracle of our bodies, and a Loving Heavenly Father who created them for us.
