We met Grams, and Gramps and Eric in Newport.
Always love seeing the Newport Temple:
Driving (and Elliot’s sleeping 🙂 ):
And Checking into our Condo, and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere:
Having three little boys all under the age of 9, LegoLand was a MUST on our list. 🙂 Especially because Legos are a main part of our lives!
We had a fun day,
Entering the park:
We went on lots of rides, including one where we got to see giant cities/towns made out of legoes
One thing the boys currently are obsessed with is Bionicles, so to see them in ‘life size’ was unreally exciting to them.
They had all sorts of fun Halloween picture props all set up, all over Lego Land, we stopped at a few:
They also had some very fun people built of legoes all over, it was certainly fun to see amazing sculptures all over:
There was some fun shows we got to stop and see, Lorelei loved the princess one:
They also had ‘Brick or Treat’ going on, where you went ‘Trick or Treating’ around a little village:
As, before mentioned, Bionicles are LOVED at our house, so when we discovered a huge room full of pieces, the kids spent at least an hour there, building, and building and building:
Elliot fell asleep during this excitement! 🙂
While this was going on, I wandered with Lorelei, and we found all sorts of things, including legos:
Once it got dark, there were costume contests, singers, dancers and street performers.
This is Elliot dancing, you can’t really see him too much, but it was so cute, I had to share:
And more night video:
A perfect way to end the day? Seeing these two sweet boys walking to the car like this, and talking about the adventures of the day.
After waiting all summer long, we were ready to head out for some WARM weather, and RELAXATION!
It took alot of energy to get ready, (Have I mentioned before that I LOVE lists!?!?)
Tucker even made sure to write it on his own calendar, he was psyched 🙂
We packed the car on Thursday Night, put the kids to bed, then got up at 3 AM Friday Morning and set off on the road! We finally were able to turn Lorelei around to front facing, and the kids did surprisingly well!
We arrived in Carlsbad by later that day,
And still had time to go swimming, which was a perfect way to get out the energy from being in a car all day long!
We have angels watching over our home and our kids.
A few days after Elliot’s staples, Truman fell from the top bunk landing on a plastic box, the size of a diaper box.
Upon the impact of Truman’s body the shoe box shattered, leaving him covered in cuts.
So grateful it was nothing worse.
It was only a matter of time with the active children that I have, that we would need staples.
It was general conference weekend, I had the Young Women over to make invites for Evening of Excellence, and Elliot was ‘helping’. He leaned over the kitchen table, and then leaned back, to sit down again, only, he missed his chair with his body, and hit his head on the edge/seat, on the way back down. It was a pretty good owie….
Here’s what it looked like after we got it all cleaned up, the bleeding still continued.
Getting the numbing ointment at the instacare.
He really only wanted to see his brothers, thank heavens for camera phones,
And he was fascinated by the ‘laser light’ in the ceiling, and made sure that I got a picture of that to show the brothers.
After staples and with ointment
Thanks heavens kids are durable! And I hope we don’t have to do that again.
Look who has mastered the skill of making pot holders, he did this one entirely by himself!
I always love how awesomely multi-colored and wonderful they look when they are all finished!
Unpacking and putting up Halloween Decorations,
Finding the baby lion costume, and the youngest child always tries it on (getting a little tight on Lorelei!)
Eating Sauerkraut and Sausage, one of my favorite meals of the year,
(And the kids do like it too!)
Harvesting the garden, (Tuckers sunflower grew taller than the tree in our front yard!)
Enjoying the fall weather with walks (as you can tell Scout likes them a little bit!)
A good time of the year.
It was another good year, with few pictures, but good memories. 🙂
With Elliot at Preschool in the mornings, Lorelei and I spent quite a bit of time doing canning together. And she truely was a help. 🙂
