Grateful to serve…

(Young Women at Young Women in Excellence)
I am grateful to be part of a religion that allows me to serve. I love working with the laurels, we have such an amazing group of girls, and I love learning together with them.

I am grateful for people who help my family and children, learn about our Savior, Jesus Christ, and this gospel.
Because I am very aware that it takes a village to raise our kids!

It does get easier,

having my big boys gone at school, and growing up and such…but then when Tucker leaves a note like this, and I just want to kids to stay little for forever!

And the words, I shall always love you, got me! So cheesy, but so wonderful.

Who needs a dog….

Even after I sweep, she can find the most minuscule crumb! Most of my kids have walked early, so we’ve never had a crawler, like her before. And it’s a totally different ball game people!

Halloween Night

The boys got more candy than ever, and in my opinion had their best halloween yet.

Here they are in their little costumes!
Lorelei

Elliot with his storm trooper guy, he has been sleeping with 🙂 and inspired his costume.

Truman

Tucker

Our home teacher bought this sucker for Elliot, he was THRILLED about it, that it matched him!

Lorelei enjoyed her first sucker

Goodbye halloween!

Cramming it in!

So Halloween afternoon came, and somehow we hadn’t carved our pumpkins yet! (gasp!)

So after a quick trip to the grocery store (Elliot got woken up early from his nap again! Poor kid!), we came home between school and trick or treating to quickly carve our pumpkins.

Tucker carved a cyclops (Carved totally by himself)
Truman carved a scary pumpkin (with the dirt on his face to make him scarier)
Elliot wanted a ghost (Which after he looked inside the pumpkin and saw the guts, he was done with the carving stuff, so I helped him finish)
Lorelei didn’t carve pumpkins this year, but did wear a pumpkin shirt, and eat pumpkin bread while we were carving!

I love this tradition! And am glad we were able to squeeze it in!

Halloween Parade…

One of my favorite things about halloween is going to the school to see the DARLING children in their little costumes. That is what halloween is about to me, seeing the excitement in their faces!

My mom came down to enjoy the event with us! And Lorelei and I were happy to have her (can you tell?)

Dan Peterson Halloween Carnival

A fundraising event for the Dan Peterson Special Education School where Toph used to be the Seminary Principal.

We’ve missed the past few years, and it was fun to be able to go back,

Here we are the Star Wars Family:
Storm Trooper, Yoda (Or Yorga, or Yoga depeding on which kid you ask), Obi-one, Ewok named Wicket, Princess Leiah.

(Toph kind of told me nicely, that he wasn’t dressing up, and I figured this would be one of the last times that my kids would ever want to be anything remotely close to the same theme, so I better run with it!)
* Elliot just woke up, and so was a little confused what was going on, Tucker is making a Jedi Face, and Truman and Lorelei are just cute-ies.

So many fun games to play, yummy food to eat, and we even got to meet the cows!

I love being able to do things like this as a family.

Fall Family Outing to Hee-Haws Farms

We found a great deal to take our family to Hee Haws farm, and decided UEA would be a great time to go. We had an AMAZING time, at this little run down pumpkin patch!

So many pictures,

The highlights:
-going down the hay slide (Elliot needing something to hold onto, so holding on to his head! So funny!)
-the corn box (buying entire bodies, except for the heads, the boys loved this!)
-jumping on the hay piles (look how high my boys can jump!)
-barrel train rides
-petting zoo (Elliot kept trying to talk to the goat!)
-wagon rides (and eating apples and doughnuts in that delicious sun light! Yes please!)
-pig catching competition (we all pretty much won, and with the kids encouragement, I entered too, and I even had to sing a lullaby and kiss a pig to win. That’s love for my kids, I tell you what!)
-corn maze (The short version, no I don’t like getting lost for hours, thank you very much.)
-tetherball
-potato gun shooting at pumpkins.

A GREAT day.

Why you should not ignore your laundry, even for 3 days…

It multiplies and grows, I SWEAR IT DOES!

How do six people use so much stuff?!?!?!
And how did I end up with six people in my family that I am doing laundry for anyway!
