The kids are growing up, and so are their toys…The new big kid thing, they love? Pokemon Cards.
They love to look at them, trade them, and organize them.
They’ve even made these awesome binders for them.
Love, love, love these boys.

State Fair in Pictures….
If Toph could say anything, he would honestly say this event, is right up there with Christmas. And as you look at the pictures of the kids, the look of pure joy in their faces, you would have to agree.
Very Grateful to my mom, for teaching these little kids, a piece of the knowledge that she knows. The boys have learned so much, know how to saddle up the horse, almost entirely by the end of summer. Let’s hope they remember it next year!
for this little boy, involves two fists full of bananas.
Is there a better way to start the day?
Oh thank Heavens, for Little Girls!
I love my boys, they provide a level of energy and excitement and craziness in our life, that could never be replicated. But there is just something about dressing a little girl, that makes me just smile!
I feel little again, like I’m dressing up my little cabbage patch dolls, and it’s just took much fun!
Around this time, I’d begun watching my favorite childhood show, ‘Punky Brewster’, as is evident in some of her clothing 🙂
Birthday-day for Toph!
He got another year older and wiser too!
Happy Birthday to Toph! Cat was in town, and so we celebrated! (Celebrating birthdays is so much fun!)
We went to lunch at a new Thai Food Restaurant (Toph what was the name, again?)
Somehow we didn’t get any pictures of the adults, only the kiddos? They were pretty cute eating the Thai noodles. 🙂
And then the next day, Patrick, Paul, Grandma and Grandpa Phillips came down to do some birthday shopping (Tucker and Toph got new fishing poles!) at Cabella’s
(and we may have stopped at the shooting range too!)
and we also had birthday lunch at Dickey’s BBQ–yum, yum, and Elliot couldn’t get enough of the pickles, ha! ha!
(pictures stolen from Grandpa Phillips’ Facebook page! Thanks grandpa!)
And our last celebrating occurred the following week at Joe’s Crab Shack, with Grams and Gramps Greene, where Lorelei had her FIRST taste of Key Lime Pie! (Thanks Gramps!) And she may just love it, just like her mama!
And these are the only picture we got from that evening!
The boys in their crab bibs. 🙂
Oh, how I love to celebrate birthdays! Love you Toph! Happy Birthday!
We continued again this summer, and the boys are becoming quite the cowboys!
And Lorelei enjoys a good ride too 🙂
We are all already looking forward to next year!
A year long challenge
The anticipation of turing 30 was a big one for me last year, instead of dreading it, I became inspired by my friend, Diana.
In honor of turning 30, I decided to complete 30 humanitarian projects throughout the year.
Slowly and Surely, it got done thru out the year. I completed a few quilts, did a few more bags, and some file folder games.
A great way to refocus things! Thanks Diana for inspiring me to create a great year!
Happy 31st Birthday to me!
The older I get, the faster each birthday comes–and honestly, this year was the best year yet! I love where my life is right now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect! It has in many years, been my hardest one yet, more children, a few health scares, it is hard and challenging, full of poppy diapers, and cooking and cleaning, breaking up disagreements, worrying about children and bullies, and so much more! BUT it’s also full of giggles, smiles, adventures, ‘guess what mom?’s’ and dirty face kisses and hugs. I find incredible satisfaction in being a mother.
This is the life I dreamed of, when I dreamed of marrying my prince charming and having cute little kids. I am richly blessed!
I was grateful for my husband, who helped me celebrate the day, starting with a special breakfast: I had special heart yogurt, and birthday donuts.
And a special delivery of flowers from this little guy
And later that night, Toph and I were able to go out on date. How I love this man!
31 is a great age, and the I can honestly say, I am loving the best years of my life yet.
Truman’s future Career….
(The robot filled in by Truman during the first day of school)
When I grow up I want to be a
Ninja.
Last year he dreamed of being a superhero, and this year a Ninja.
Love this sweet boy who wants to save the world from the bad guys…
