My child.

I love seeing pieces of myself in my children… *(at least the good parts!)
One day after school, Tucker had a lot to do, so I laughed a little inside as I watched him make himself a To Do List.

1 Do homework
2 Make Movies
3 Take Pictures
4 Play with Austin
5 Use Ticket
6 Play Legos
7 Wrestling
8 Do Chores
9 (Omitted)
10 Practice
11 Snack

Love how this boy can make me smile.

Full of important things to do!

Being an Only Child.

Every morning after the big boys leave for school, I enjoy a little time with just this boy. I enjoy this time ( I think more than he does!) I enjoy playing what he wants to play, doing what he wants to do, and just squeezing his sweet body and kissing his cheeks!

But inevitably he realizes his brothers are gone, and starts to ask for Truman. As you can tell from this video when we went and picked Tru up from school, he LOVES his big brothers.

Not a day goes by, without hearing the word…

‘Robot’

It is so amazing to me, how all THREE boys love robots. Truman and Elliot do have other interests, but it is interesting that because Tucker LOVES them, that interest seems to trickle down to the other two.

I love playdough, and one afternoon almost 2 hours was spent on the porch playing and then building/constructing/playing with these Robots.

And these pictures were taken at the end of playing, and Elliot was MAD that he couldn’t have his brothers ‘wobots’.

I keep thinking that someday we’ll outgrow robots…but it’s yet to happen. We still love our robots.
(Ironically I don’t have any pictures of Tucker)

Getting ready for baby sister…

I have a long list of sewing projects I want to get done.

I’ve gotten a few done, including baby legs. (basically tall socks for baby sisters legs, that have the feet cut off) Elliot found them in the pile of clean laundry and brought them to me, and insisted they be put on his arms. Then from across the room, I saw the barrettes I’d bought at the dollar store when we found out we were having a little girl… and poor Elliot, he might have been subject to some of his mothers’ excitement about a little girl.

He’ll probably be mad at me someday…but hopefully he’ll forgive me! (I did refrain from putting a tutu on him…I did have a LITTLE self control….)

And on a side note, all you mom’s of girls, any hair tips out there? (Not that I’ll need them right away, but I’d like to be prepared!) Boys seem so easy, wet with water, hair gel, and there you go! I’d love to know ANY tips/tricks/things you love!

Two boys, one pair of pants

After Family Home Evening, the kids were getting jam-ied up. And came upstairs just giggling!

They put on matching shirts, and one pair of pants. How these boys make me laugh! The picture is horrible, but I really wanted to remember this…I made a video of it, but most of it is Elliot jumping off the table and crying, and you can’t even hear the boys…

But again, I wanted to remember there are ‘magical’ moments of parenthood. Love these boys.

Fall

For the longest time, the boys went to school like this:

Shorts and short sleeve shirts. Then one day the weather changed, and it finally started to feel like fall. That same day, Truman took my phone and took pictures around the house, and when I loaded up my pictures to the computer, I just smiled…so many of my favorite fall-ish things!

Putting extra blankets on the beds and flannel sheets

Eating more mac and cheese and ramen for lunch. I love me some mac and cheese and ramen in the fall!

Lots of fall homework, leaves, apples next to my favorite fall candle (Pumpkin Spice by Yankee Candle Factory…I look forward to putting mine out every year, and after 9 years my first one finally died this year, and Toph graciously stopped and bought me a new one. Thank heavens! Fall would not be fall without pumpkin spice! 🙂 )

Lots more reading. A little chill in the air just makes the boys want to curl up and read more. I love it!

And pumpkins, I love getting my pumpkins out. Is there a cuter veggie? Nope.

Hurray for fall.

Elliot and I…

May or may not have watched this for 20 minutes over and over again this morning…but we probably did…
