I have a long list of sewing projects I want to get done.
I’ve gotten a few done, including baby legs. (basically tall socks for baby sisters legs, that have the feet cut off) Elliot found them in the pile of clean laundry and brought them to me, and insisted they be put on his arms. Then from across the room, I saw the barrettes I’d bought at the dollar store when we found out we were having a little girl… and poor Elliot, he might have been subject to some of his mothers’ excitement about a little girl.
He’ll probably be mad at me someday…but hopefully he’ll forgive me! (I did refrain from putting a tutu on him…I did have a LITTLE self control….)
And on a side note, all you mom’s of girls, any hair tips out there? (Not that I’ll need them right away, but I’d like to be prepared!) Boys seem so easy, wet with water, hair gel, and there you go! I’d love to know ANY tips/tricks/things you love!

Girl hair is the hardest for me. If you find out any great tips please pass them on because I need some help. 🙂
KY Jelly is a great way to get those little hair bows to sick on their head before they have hair. My mom used to use corn syrup, but KY is much less sticky and washes off so easily. Just a dab on the head, place the bow, and viola!
When it gets to the point you can stick her hair in little pigtails and such, my sister taught me it helps if you run a ribbon through the elastic and use that to help pull and twist the elastic as you put it in their hair. I don’t think I can explain it very well, but I’d be happy to show you some time. 🙂
