Family Fun Day–One last grand adventure.

Before the kids went back to school, we had a family fun filled day. We originally had planned to go to Lagoon, but after consulting with the children, we let them set the agenda…and our day began.

Toph, Tuck and Tru started the early morning fishing.

And feeding the ducks.

Then off to Chuck-E-Cheese (where we played lots of games, rode rides, ate pizza and watched the scary robot people sing)

We arrived just in the nick of time to see Toy Story 3, at the end of the previews, just enough time for a quick picture. We all enjoyed it (even Elliot sat for over half the movie)!

Then we tried unsuccessfully to go bowling (We stopped at 4 bowling allies!!!) But the boys were content, as inbetween these bowling ally stops, we found a few D.I.’s (thrift stores) and they got to choose out a few treasures–
Tuckers prize find? Disgusting Science Kit (he’s trying to be disgusting in the picture too…yep, fingers in the nose, definitely disgusting)

Trumans prize find? At three different stores, he found three different matching rescue hero men/backpack/accessories. (he’s trying to be silly, tongue out? Silly)

Elliots prize find? A little peoples cozy coupe matchbox car, which you can’t see in this picture…but it was just to cute not to post.

With no luck in the bowling ally department, we decided to stop for dinner, at our favorite thai restaurant…(just looking at the food makes me hungry…yum).

Later met drove north to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa Phillips who took Tuck and Tru for one last trip to Logan, and to have a grand time with them and cousins before school started.

Fun to see the things they chose as the most important adventures to have before school came! (Who would have thought DI and bowling?) So grateful to have such fun loving crazy little boys, so sad to see the unofficial end of summer for our family. So fun to see and dream about new adventures ahead.
