Good-bye Clementine.

This blog is a place to record our lives. Including the not so wonderful moments…
Recently it came to light that it was no longer healthy or safe for Clementine to stay at our house. Her crazy stunts continued, she was going places that were not safe for her. She’s always ‘clucked’ when she layed eggs, or when she was in danger, but after goose died, she began crowing louder, and louder and earlier and earlier.

We’ve always tried to have Clementines best interest at heart, we purchased chicks to help with her loneliness, but to no avail. We wanted her to be happy, and felt it was time for her to be with other chickens.

Toph placed an ad online….and the phone calls started pouring in.

We felt fortunate in that this time of ‘parting’ we had a chance to say goodbye.

And them all…

Clementine found a new home with with Geese, Chickens and Ducks. A few acres of land, and a coop with a door that is on a timer, and open and closes in the morning and evening. We hope she is happy there, and like to hope that she’s been given a better life.

I’m glad you found a good place for Clementine. I believe that you made a wise choice. Having pets is a huge responsibility and part of that responsibility comes in knowing that it’s not working for you.

(That sounds like you aren’t being good pet owners or something, but that’s entirely Not what I meant. I think you are being the best pet owners by putting your family first. And I know you have other chickens. 🙂
