(Tuck is finally old enough to get his own card, hurah!)

And because I feel like summer is slipping away in all the busy-ness, we have made a family chart to get the most important things in (I can’t remember where I first saw this) Broken up into four sections: Read, Do, Make, Go.

And before the chart had been up for 3 minutes, Tucker filled in the MAKE section:

Quilt
Big Money.
Then set this envelope outside our front door.

He says it’s for anyone who comes in. They must pay. HA!

And my favorite part about summer:
Children being dirty all day long, and looking like their mother doesn’t care, and truth be told, she doesn’t care, cause it’s summer, and we have few places super important to go!

To help me keep it real, and remember life is not perfect with little ones.
It makes me smile EVERY time I see it.

It has been shockingly surprising to me to watch the way the chickens have acclimated to my boys.

The boys just cart them around with them during the days when they’re in the backyard.

It’s fun to watch them, and how much they love them.

It’s also fun to watch them in luxury coop, or the chicken hotel as I call it in my head.
It has a ramp, (with food and water behind)

And a nice roosting area up top.

All that’s left to complete now is the roof.
Another amazing project completed by Toph.
He’s becoming such a handyman.

We are literally minutes from the temple. In fact, Tucker often times will come upstairs after we’ve put him to bed, and come look out our bay window, so he can look at the temple at night, when it is all lit up.

I want to remember that, his little face staring out the window. A sweet scene indeed, and someday I’ll have to try to get a picture of it. Because it makes my heart soar to see things like that.

Recently we went to the park across the street from the temple, to talk about temples. We don’t get the kids there often enough to appreciate the beautiful Temple we have so close to our home, and we thought it was a good time to go, especially with the upcoming dedication of the Ocquirr Hills Temple.

After words we let the boys play, and got these great shot…

This is Patrick, my brother in law.

Anyone who knows Patrick, knows the wonderful person he is. He strives to make right choices, he wants people to be happy, he has a hilarious sense of humor, he loves to watch Basketball, and he is an athlete (to name a few things about him).

Patrick is someone who I love to be around, he silently cares for you, and you can feel it when you are in his presence. Recently he competed at the State Games, and it was a great opportunity to go and cheer him on, and let him know how proud we are to be his family.

And plus, have you ever been to a special olympics state games? They’re fun.

You get to hang out and play games with the Athletes, who keep you smiling,

There is snow cones,

Paramedics (look at Dallin’s smile, he is bursting with happiness!),

Random Gators,

Family,


Awards and medals are handed out on a podium,

And for those of you who don’t know, special olympics will always hold a special place in my heart, as it is the place where I met the man who hold my heart. It’s just a magical place.

It is great to be reminded of the magic that helped me and my sweetheart fall in love. Thanks again Patrick, for striving for excellence, so we could remember the many important things of life.

As Toph said tonight, Elliot definitely is spoiled rotten when it comes to attention and love.
