So, My sister Amy and I have talked about this….Fourth of July at the Cabin is equivalent to Christmas Morning as a little kid. Just wonderful! It’s a safe haven of family, food and fun.
Here are the pictures to prove it:
Tuckers shooting his BB Gun for the first time at the cabin:
Got to go with the Hunsaker Cousins to the Oakley Parade!
It’s been along time since we’ve been to a parade where they throw candy. And there is nothing like a little home town parade. LOVE.
The boys found all the snowmobiling gear, and were playing a game with it:
(I especially love this one of Elliot)
And one of my kiddos favorite parts, riding the Horses. (Truman did ride, not sure why we didn’t get a pic.)
Elliot still loves his prince Eric.
We also did some evening shooting and chatting, Ive forgotten how fun those little BB guns are to shoot!
Even with all the beautiful nature, the kids always are drawn to watching movies…I was the same was as a kid.
My little kids usually always fall asleep pretty quickly in the evenings, after such busy days.
Panned for gold down at the stream
The men folk helped with the shed, Grandpa is building.
The snowmobiles are so much fun to play on.
Lorelei Painted Amy’s and my toenails.
Off to the Rodeo we went, glow sticks, candy, and goodness were shared.
We had planned on staying at the Cabin longer, but that night, One of the kiddos got sick, so we headed home.
Another Epic Trip to the Cabin.
How we love the memories and time shared there!
Our Backyard is surrounded by big, tall trees, the perfect place for birds. We do love the birds, but for a few weeks, we found quite a few baby birdies, that didn’t learn how to fly, and ended up on our carpet of grass. Tucker was very vigilant and would place them in a low lying nest where surprisingly another momma bird would take care of them.
It was awesome to watch Tucker be a nurturer. He is a great kid.
So, this song also happened while I was gone, but it was SO darling, I felt like it needed a new post:
She LOVES this song. Love. Love. Love.
He did so well with our four kids, it was a monumental week, here are some pictures to document the great time they had!
He got the chance to babysit our good friend Emery one night, and Lorelei was in baby heaven:
I left little presents for them to earn by being good. They could earn one each day:
There was Pack Meeting while I was gone too, It was a Carnival Theme, complete with a Dunking Booth, that everyone participated in!
Here is Tucker getting his awards:
And the dunking booth:
Some Pics from Tucker’s Ipod showing some of the fun they had at the Greene’s house. I know they had lots of grand adventures with their awesome aunt and kiddos.
I don’t LOVE Chinese food. So anytime I’m gone, Toph loves to take the kiddos out for Chinese, looks like they loved it!
Enjoying one of their presents, giant blow up alligators, what’s not to love about them?
Lorelei started doing her own hair: Beautiful, don’t you think?
As every mom knows, while Mom is away, the dad and the kiddos will play:
Mattress Surfing:
Crazy, Hubba and Crazy Kiddos:
When I was driving about 30 minutes away, my phone finally got reception, and this video popped up!
To say I was anxious to see my kiddos is an understatement. this just made me even more excited.
And then this picture was sent to me, Eli and Li Li sitting by the window waiting for me:
And Honestly, I got the best homecoming ever…FOUR KIDS HUGGING ME, and WANTING TO SIT ON MY LAP, and WANTING TO TELL ME ABOUT THEIR WEEK, it was W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L.:
Toph rocked the house while I was gone. He is the best Mr. Mom any woman could ask for. Love you hubs.
Here’s an amazing video one of our young women put together with our experience:
Our theme was “Conquering Our Goliath” and it was a great year at camp! We had so much fun, and there is nothing like watching your Young Women grow thru a week of spiritual enlightenment, and seeing their testimony of the Savior grow.
I am very grateful that I was able to spend the week there. It would not have been possible without the support of my loving husband, and crazy awesome sister in law Tiff, who took the kids during the day while I was gone.
I came home reminded of my worth as a daughter of God, and missing my husband and kids with every fiber of my soul. That’s a good combination.
One day at crafting school, we spent the morning making plates:
Tucker worked hard on his Green Dragon:
Truman and his Orange Soccer Dragon:
Elliot and his monsters:
Lorelei colored her princess crown purple and pink:
The finished products:
Such Beautifully creative work, from my beautifully creative kids!
Toph’s dreams do come true:
Scout the Frisbee Dog.
