is that she draws us outside.

We are spending so much time out in the sandbox, and we’ve been trying to take nightly walks to wear her out so she’ll sleep better in the night.

This Sunday, we went for a walk, and Elliot and Truman were in the wagon, and rode most the way with their heads inside blankets like that. so funny.

And sweet Tucker collected ‘nature’ for Lorelei as he pushed her around.

Hopefully this nightly ritual will continue, helping to bond our family, and making us healthier too. 🙂

Is a liar.

After having sick kids who were up night and day, needing constant attention, and house training a very active puppy for over a week, a busy husband who was gone for a few evenings in a row and gone before they were awake, I was feeling a little tired!

Thankfully Chocolate and sweet boys came to the rescue.

When I know the hard, I can appreciate the easy so much more. Grateful for the bitter and the sweet. 🙂

The last week has been a rough one for this sweet girl.

A high fever has left her miserable, and wiped out.

It’s been a bad bug, that has left her so tired, she’s been held for almost the entire time she is awake, and left her asleep in many funny places.

Thankfully it has not spread to everyone. Only Truman, of course. Truman had it for less than 12 hours, and now is totally fine.

And funnily, Truman too has fallen asleep in funny places this week as well. But none of them while he was sick!

So glad that we are (HOPEFULLY) getting past this!

My neighbor let me borrow her book, and it was FABULOUS.

I loved her perspective, her honesty, and her testifying of true things. When she spoke of the importance of families (which was often), I couldn’t help but nod my head in agreement to her words.

A Beautiful book.

Kept all three boys, this close for over 25 minutes. Staring, dreaming and wishing, and hoping for books.

And there was NOT one single mean word said, or any pushing.
In my mind, that’s a little miracle. And I’ll take it.

And speaking of books and reading, saw this and literally starting laughing out loud. It made me really happy. 🙂

Oh books how I love you, but not nearly as much as I love these little boys.

Tuck and Tru both made one this year, and Elliot was thrilled to help me laminate and cut them!

They’ve begun their travels, but would love to find more places to visit. So if you’re going some place fun, or live someplace fun, we’d love to send our Stanley’s to stay with you!

The Club Continues, and after learning all about incubation periods, and etc, Tucker now has his heart set on visiting a fish hatchery this summer.

Toph was busy helping Bishop this night, so it was me and the kids!

Elliot and Lorelei were awesome. Elliot had his fishing pole with the Tire on the end, and happily casted for a good hour.

Lorelei was in awe of everything around her, and enjoyed digging in the sand.

Truman is a very patient fisherman, and it very observant of those around him, and watches them closely to see how they do things (Especially those who have luck in catching fish), He says it’s important to do that, so you can catch a fish.

Grateful for this opportunity to be in nature, to be a mother, and to be together with my kiddos.

It seems like my kids cycle through their toys. Right now they’re back to Legos. And they love to build and build with them. I’m all about creating and being creative, so I like when they play with Legos (but hate when I accidentally step on one!)
Tucker just loves the building process,

and Truman usually builds airplanes, and play with them for a few days afterwords.

(And notice Truman’s made the switch to Chapter books, and the total independence from mom when reading his baggie books. Woo-Hoo!)

Even Elliot and Lorelei enjoy the sensory experience of digging through the Legos, but it drives Tucker crazy to hear the noises and not be able to find the pieces he just saw. 🙂

To remember to close your mouth when you go down the slide to the sandbox. (At least I hope it’s only once!)

And we have had some great weather, and have spent so much time in the sandbox and outside! Love this little backyard of ours.
