Because of this…
yum diggity, Corn Beef and Cabbage. One of my favorite meals of the year.
Delish.
Month: March 2008
and that we did!
We celebrated Trumans birthday in so many ways, and so many times, you only turn three once right?
The night before our family party and tradition. Doughnuts. We went to the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Factory (again 🙂 ) and Truman couldn’t have been happier.
They could spend hours watching the doughnuts being made…
Look at the smile on his face…
And this funny movie of him trying to figure out how old he is…

The next morning, Cat, Becca and Mom were here and we had a fun time opening presents, and having oatmeal (I had used all the eggs on the cake, so we didn’t have too many options!)
Opening his soccer net–
Tune–
Tune playing soccer–
That afternoon we celebrated with the Greene Family and Great grandparents for Lasagna and Cake and Ice-Cream. What fun.
Great Grandpa and Grandma Hunsaker made the trek from the cabin-
Waiting for the food to cook–
Here is the cake, as per Trumans request…Hercules–
Blowing out the candles
Dishing the cake and icecream–
Eating the good stuff–
Amy and Tru
The one thing that is great about having cousins, is how they all crowd when present time comes!
The planet heroes rocket he has been talking about since before Christmas, he was thrilled–
The boys and their ‘puters. They were all playing against each other some car game, I don’t know…
The next day (St. Patricks Day) , at playgroup (Friends from his nursery class), we had a little party, we had an easter egg hunt, decorated cupcakes, baloon soccer, and presents. The kids had a good time.
The guests in attendance were Asher in his St. Pattys day Garb, (and his sister Isabel, who I didn’t get a pic of)
Cameron
Ryan and Braxton
Now, we are looking forward to the party with the Phillips this weekend! Still celebrating, I’m almost all partied out, good thing he isn’t!
Truman is 3?!?!?
How time flies, and too quickly does it fly. My little boy, Truman, is one year older. I swear he was just born, but that can’t be, because babies don’t constantly request things by saying, “Mom, put me down, I want to walk, I’m not a baby!” or “I’m a big boy mom, I’m like a big brother, I’m not a baby.”
Things I love about Truman:
–Right now, he loves the story of Sampson and Delilah. He asks me to tell him about it often, especially when his hair is cut.
–At night time after I put him to bed, he will swing his feet off his bed, and read books sitting up, using the nightstand as a table.
–Truman has such a caring heart, is full of compassionate.
–He is constantly looking to his best friend and big brother Tucker.
–Truman is happy to be one year older, because that means he’s almost as old as Tucker.
–Loves his classes, which constist of a nursery, weekly playgroup, and library reading time.
–He loves Baby Einstein Movies, and at our weekly library reading time, always chooses one to check out to take home…
–For some reason, Truman thinks that he learns everything in nursery, and is always saying things like “I learned that at nursery class, or I sing that song at nursery class” Most of the time, it is things that he probably shouldn’t be learning or singing in nursery class! Silly Boy.
Happy Birthday Big Boy! We love you!
So it can be used!!!
Ikey and Belle were here for Friday Night…
Watching a movie, Robots again, actually–
Coloring Pictures–
(again, we were so busy, I didn’t stop to take pictures!)
Then on Saturday, it was a Girls Night Out
Cat,
Becca,
and Mom
came from Logan and spent the night….
We went to the Pizza Factory and watched Stardust–How wonderful it is to have a home to share with others, and share in good company.
Who gives a What?
So, last week was Tuckers Annual Movie and Parent day at his preschool. Of course, when asked the question, who would you like to have go with you, the answer was naturally Dad.
With Christopher being gone for business trips, I realized how strong an influence he has on our children, as well as the calming influence he has on me. I often forget this, and am grateful for the reminders, which often come with his absence.
So although Tuck and Toph were off to go see “Horton Gives a Who”, it is actually us who gives a who–we’re blessed to have him in our lives.
By the way, the boys had a fabulous time together, and from what I understand, Horton was a good movie!
Happy St. Patricks Day!
My hubby just returned from a vacation, I mean Conference. We’re glad he is back, and glad he brought some pictures back too…It’s fun to see what this party, I mean Conference was about!
He did find some awesome pictures for me and the boys at home, look at this cool ball thing that was hanging from the ceiling:
He found a cool food store, with an amazing cheese section, of course that picture was for me too! 🙂
Fruit at that same store:
He saw the Guitar Hero World Champion (Look at that Wicked Awesome behind the head move, you could totally do that Amy, Eric and Cat, start practicing now!):
Now for pictures for the boys,
A creative area full of thousands of Legos:
A Monster Truck (notice it’s built out of PVC pipe, and has a webcam on top, ha!):
And of course Robot Pictures:
A robot man thing:
A Robot table:
A Scary looking thing that reminds me of something out of Toystory:
And more from that scary man’s shop:
And let us not forget this, and awesome toy store, with a section dedicated to robots:
My boys would love all of this,
And This,
And This.
It’s a good thing we aren’t rich, or our boys would be spoiled rotten with awesome robots from this store.
And just FYI if you ever come across ‘oatcream’ it may look delicious, but trust Toph, (who eats everything) it’s NASTY…
Now Gellato, and pizza that’s some good stuff: (From that awesome cheese/fruit store earlier)
Now here something from one of the sessions. Drupal Rocks. Yep, he sure does feel that way!
Another thing, remember how Tucker LOVES that Drupal song? Tohp met the guy who sings it. Now that’s famous! (look at Toph’s face, you can tell he is so excited!)
There was even big evening Firedancing festivities:
And if you know who these men are, you might be a geek. (I can say that because I don’t know who they are, and therfore am not a geek. Toph, who are they?)
And coming home, the landing:
We’re so glad you’re home! We missed you SO MUCH!
Sweet is the Work…
So recently, between a traveling hubby, Crazy Children, and a New Job, I have been so grateful for the opportunity to do some Relief Society Work, it truly is sweet, and brightens my soul, just like candy does, but a lot healthier. 🙂
Our ward is preparing for a big humanitarian open house, this is one Humanitarian Baby Blanket (My great Friend Diane helped me to tie, while the kids played, Thanks again Diane!)
Do you like the cat material? Truman chose it out, and Tucker choose out the back to match. I guess it could’ve been worse–BUT I had a vision of a darling blanket (Pink, because I never get to buy Pink, and it was going to be girly, and darling). HONESTLY, I am sure whoever receives it will be grateful for the warmth it gives. That is the most important part, right?
Relief Society Welcome Packets for the new sisters who have moved in:
Relief Society Hankerchiefs for the YW transitioning to RS:
Also, we had an Enrichment activity based around ‘Relief’: Preparing now, so that when the turmoil hits, we’ll be prepared. It was based around our Stake Goals, We gave them oil to take home to place in there 72 hour kits, I was in charge of filling all of these little containers, Toph consecrated them.
I am grateful for a creative outlet, but I am even more grateful for a creative outlet that blesses other lives. Mostly I am grateful to be a part of the work.
“Rope Jumping”, out of a ‘rope’ he made by hooking straws together.

The quality is horrible, but I couldn’t help posting it, I don’t know if it’s our new video software or what….
